You should contact us to inform us of any changes to the information on which your Home Insurance is based, prior to the change being required. This includes changes to any of the information detailed on the policy documentation such as;
If we are not informed immediately of any changes to your Home Insurance policy, cover may become invalid. This could result in you not being insured, claims being rejected or claims only being partially paid.
Once we are made aware of the changes, we will assess the new details and adjust your Home Insurance premium if appropriate. Sometimes we are unable to agree to the requested change automatically and the decision will be referred to the relevant insurer.
Once the decision is known our Customer Services team will inform you immediately. New policy documentation confirming any changes made to the Home Insurance policy will be available in the online Self-Service Centre.
If you, or we, make changes to your policy at any time after the first 14 days from your policy start date, an amendment fee of £20 may be charged and the cost of your policy may increase.
