24 hour claims service

Alternative accommodation provided as standard*

Following a claim, we will provide you with alternative accommodation if the property cannot be lived in due to damage.

10% increase for Weddings and Christmas presents

Additional cover is provided for a period beginning one month before and ending one month after your Wedding day. Additionally in December, your contents cover will increase to allow for the value of Christmas presents.

New for old

Your contents will be replaced on a new for old basis.*

Home Assistance

Home emergencies can be stressful and sometimes difficult to resolve, but unlike many other Home Insurance policies, our Home Assistance is included as standard (applicable to Home Owners only) to provide you with peace of mind knowing that we are with you every step of the way. We will arrange for a qualified tradesman to come to your home to carry out emergency repairs and we provide a 24 hour emergency claims helpline.

In the event of an emergency in your home you will be covered for:
Total failure or breakdown of the main hot water or central heating system
(boilers over 15 years old excluded, must be subject to an annual service)
Plumbing and drainage emergencies
Domestic power supply failure (including gas, electric and water)
Pests – problems with pests in your home including adjoining outbuilding

  • Up to £50,000 worth of financial support per incident for your legal costs.
  • Confidential legal helpline 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Keycare Cover

We all know that losing your keys, or having them stolen, is frustrating and upsetting. But now with our Keycare Cover you can relax in the knowledge that, should this happen, you are only one phone call away from help.

  • Protection for permanently lost keys to cover the cost of replacement keys, locks and car hire up to an annual cover limit of £1,500.
  • All the keys attached to the fob are covered, for example keys to your car, home, office or caravan.
  • No claim discount on your Car or Home Insurance policy is not affected.
  • No excess to pay.
  • Emergency helpline open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

  • 18 months ago I came home from holiday to find my kitchen ceiling had collapsed and water all over due to a leak in the bathroom above. B&B home insurance managed the claim quickly and professionally, however when we recently needed to change the lights in the kitchen we found that we couldn't as the transmitter had been screwed to the beams. I contacted B&B who did the original repair and they sent somebody out and rectified the problem – I was really impressed considering this was 18 months after the initial claim.
